Superb 19th-century oak bench oozing rustic country character and charm, with solid pegged angled legs.
Possibly an old workbench or pig bench as there's plenty of very old dings and markings to the top.
Many uses - kitchen seating, hallway for putting on wellies, coffee table, etc.
Condition:
Commensurate with age - scuffs, dings, markings, etc. - see photos.
No repairs, no wobbles and legs seem solid.
A couple of very old woodworm holes in one of the legs.
Underside of bench has two old blocks attached by six screws where the seat meets the legs, these are slightly split but the area remains very solid.
Overall - wonderful example, very solid.
