A 19th-century oil on canvas portrait of a young man, unsigned, unframed.
I love this. It has a really good naive, romantic feel about it. I wonder if it's a self-portrait? Or a peasant, actor or writer maybe?
There's a small canvas tear to the hat which is secured by a small square of masking tape behind it, but this certainly doesn't take away from the look of the painting.
