A pretty mahogany Regency armchair or elbow chair, circa 1820, with later upholstery.
Great colour and rich patina, with wonderful scrolling arms, nicely turned and detailed front legs, sweeping back legs, curved backrest and refined fabric.
Well-drawn and very well-shaped, although it does have quite a few historic repairs using screws, plates, etc. - please see the photos for some of them. All stable and secure but there is some movement to the frame, hence the low price.
A decorative, beautiful piece that's worth saving!
