A superb Regency armchair with ebonised finish, twist-turned top rail, scrolled arms resting on gilded balls, flanking a painted tablet (a lovely Regency blue) to the mid-rail, with a caned seat, all raised on sabre back and front legs.
A super design and statement piece with a wonderful untouched patina.
Condition: Good solid condition, no movement or loose joints at all, cane in very good condition. Chips to some of the paint (see photos). Some slight gapping or shrinkage where one arm meets the back but absolutely solid and secure. I can see no repairs anywhere on the chair. See photos for details as they form part of the description.
