A set of 4 elm and beech chapel chairs, dating from the early 20th century.
Very comfortable due to the sweep of the back legs/supports and the generous-sized elm seats, which are also nicely shaped. Each have a book shelf on the back and one is stamped 'JJ' on the back.
Well made and completely original with no splits, repairs or missing parts, just the expected age-related wear and tear. There are signs of some historic inactive woodworm on each to varying degrees (see photos), which I've treated anyway as a precaution.
